For over 50 years Taylor Made has been family-owned and operated. Over the past nine years, Taylor Made has grown its partnership business, syndicating racehorses through Medallion Racing and breeding stock through Bloodstock Investments with tremendous success. Our team take to heart our company motto, "with us, you're family" and treats our partners as such.

Phillip Shelton

Medallion Racing Manager

I’ve been a lifelong horse racing fan, who learned the game from my dad, while spending many racing/simulcast days at Keeneland. I focused most of my interest on handicapping, while working for Taylor Made periodically at Thoroughbred Auctions from 2004-2014. At this time, I decided to make a career change, and pursue my love of Thoroughbred Racing full time. I began at the bottom, working as a groom to help prep all of our horses for the different TB Auctions throughout the year. I moved into the office in the spring of 2016 as we began working on the plans for Medallion Racing. We launched Medallion Racing, and I have been the Racing Manager since its inception. I am very lucky to get to work with all of our incredible partners. I live in Lexington with my wife Taylor, and son Keene & daughter Marin.

Joe Taylor

Bloodstock Investments Manager

Growing up on the farm, I worked in nearly every division Taylor Made Farm has offer. After graduating High School, wanting to pursue a career in the thoroughbred business, I attended The University of Arizona’s prestigious Racetrack Industry Program, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a concentration in Business Administration in 2010. I continued to gain experience the next five years working for Kings Equine and Dale Romans, and then with WinStar Farm, where I accepted a role as Assistant Yearling Manager. I returned to Taylor Made as a Divisional Broodmare Manager in 2015. In 2017, I accepted the opportunity to apprentice under Mark Taylor as an Assistant to the Vice President of Public Sales. Upon completion of my apprenticeship, I accepted the current role of Thoroughbred Advisor and Manager of Bloodstock Investments. I maintain a close relationship with major accounts as a Thoroughbred Advisor and am always looking for ways to grow the Taylor Made Partnerships Division.

Molly Hyer

Partnerships Brand Coordinator

A little background about me. I have been a horse girl from the age of 5. I competed in Hunter/Jumpers and Eventing and was a member of the Murray State University Equestrian team. I graduated from the Murray State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing in 2010 and a Master’s Degree in Business in 2012. Before working for Taylor Made, I worked primarily in Events and Marketing including my time working in events at Churchill Downs. In the last year and half, I have had the privilege of being part of the Marketing team at Taylor Made and was a large contributor towards the planning and execution of Medallion Events. This year I will be shifting a lot more focus towards Marketing & Events not only for Medallion Racing but for all parts of Taylor Made Partnerships. I am blessed with a wonderful husband of 5 years, Jeff, and two adorable doggies, Loki & Lola. I can’t wait to continue my journey with Taylor Made Partnerships. Hope to see you at our next event!
